Im thinking of selling off my min i stash and just want to get an idea of the market. I have 150 dollars worth all rolled and boxed. Which leads me to another question. Can you get more in the flat rate box if they are rolled or loose? Thanks in advance

The most you can get in a flat rate box is 70 pounds no matter which packing method you use. I have found that it is easier for me to pack them rolled. I have shipped several $100 boxes. $100 face in copper comes in just a few ounces below absolute maximum weight. Be sure to use lots of tape. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
Let me see if I understand this? If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 years hard labor; the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely. If you cross the US border illegally, you get a driver’s license, a social security card, welfare, food stamps, free health care!

Going rate is between 1.25 and 1.6 cents shipped. |

Hoard, those rates are for US pennies i assume?
if so, what would you say the going rates are for canuck copper (CuEh?)
98% vs 95%, but... how much does the face value/exchange rate sway the prices? |

They have been referred to as "Canuk-A-Cents" in my family for over 20 years. |

There's a mouse in my beer, eh! I have CuEh in my hoard as well.
The increased copper percentage is offset by the lighter weight, so the rate would be about the same. Technically you would be getting slightly more due to the difference in the exchange rate. The shipping would kill you unless you crossed the boarder to use flat rate shipping though. |

another question hoard(and everyone);
if you were to buy CuEh by the pound, would you rather get:
a) all 42-49 (3.24 gm, 140 pennies/lb) b) all 80-81 (2.8 gm, 162 pennies/lb) c) all 82-96 (2.5 gm, 182 pennies/lb) d) why so freakin picky, gimme the coppa!! (mixed, 140-182 pennies/lb)
and what do you think is a fair price/lb |

If I was buying by the pound, I would prefer the 2.5g pennies. If Copper tanked, I would have more face value.
I was was selling by the pound, I guess I would sell the 3.24g. Since I would be getting at face, I would have to ship out less face value coins to the buyer.
68 lbs is 95.30 using the 3.24g pennies 68 lbs is 123.76 using the 2.5g pennies
So if you were selling 68lbs for 150 shipped....I will take the 2.5 g ones. |
You don't have to be the BEST you just have to be.......SLICK

right slick, i got ya.
Lets say i'm selling at $0.0175/2.5gm penny shipped. that works out to $3.185/lb.
So in order to make the older years appeal to you, you would need a corresponding discount as a percentage of face value? $2.80/lb of the 2.8gm and $2.55/lb of the 3.24gm for example?
I rounded up a little to make up for the extra shipping costs that older coins would cost/$ face value |

I buy and sell by weight. For CuEh I'm not worried about heavy coins or light coins. A pound of copper is a pound of copper. |

I would like the older ones.. I like George! I often sell Canadians by the roll and like to provide good value to my customers.
Aren't US cents so much easier? It either is copper.. or it isn't. |
