| Found a plastic penny the other day in a 50.00 bank bag of pennies while hand sorting. Will post picture later but it was yellow / gold in color with the word "COPY" written diagonaly on both sides. It amazes me how bank coin machines dont reject this stuff... |

I would say it has been about a year since I found any plastic coins in the rolls I search. I find a lot of buttons though. 
Today, I found the first plastic penny since this topic was started. It is a plastic US Penny and on the obverse it says IMPERIAL at the top and to the left of Lincoln is says PLAY MONEY. No date. The reverse is fairly detailed similar to a 1959 - 2008 US Penny.

| Well it must be my lucky day because the same person that was turning them in last year is at it again. I had a total of 34 last year and now I just got 14 more in this weeks haul. When I got the first one it was a novelty and something different now that feeling has definately worn off. |

Went to pick up my $500 order from BOA, they said "come back tomorrow." So... the Credit Union is right around the corner (I never go there) and so I figured "what the heck, I'll try it." Picked up $74.50 or rolled pennies and made a deal with them to pick up once a month. As I was pouring them into a canvas sack I heard a weird clink, and sure enough, it was my first plastic penny. These suckers are scarcer than IHP's! |

| If a single plastic penny will fetch 3 and a half cents, I'm hoarding the 5 different 2-kilo bullion bars I have for sure. I would say that I could be setting on a goldmine, but I don't want to under value my stash. |
I'll get around to making something a little more clever later; for now, just be thankful I took the time to type something in at all. |

| Just curious, do you all separate your pre-82 plastic pennies from your post-82 plastic pennies? And on the 82s, do you do a bounce test or weigh them? Heehee. |
