Does anyone know what the going rate peaked at last year when metals were higher?

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

Wow so it's about half that now, at least in this area. I'll wait until I get a couple more bags full of crushed cans before I take them in. That's as long as the g/f doesn't complain about me storing them in the garage.

20 tons?!?!? Where/how do you store this before you get to this level? And how did you get so many. I've upped my soda consumption but at this rate it will take me 47 years to get to 20 tons.

.48 per pound in S. Illinois. as of 8/31.

I have heard it takes 1500 pull tabs to make a pound. Anyone have any info on this being true. Don't really need it for anything, just for satisfying curiosity.

It takes 31 cans to make a pound. 1500/31 = 48. Take 48 pull-tabs and compared them to a can and theres your answer. I don't know for sure, but it sounds like it could be close.
