got the 100 $ box of nickels done last night

1 1943 wn woohoo!

that was alot of work for 1 coin...this was my first nickel box to sort, do I keep the rest of the nics or send them back...

and one box of halves done last night...

no silver but got a '87 and 2 '03's in real nice condition

4 40% 66, 67, 2-68.

Where are the 1964s when you need them The 6 I have are getting lonely.

Bank said I only got $499.50 back to them Machine count Error, unless I find one on floor where I bagged up.

It depends.... If you are just looking for War Nicks, bring back the nicks you don't want to keep. If you are holding on to nickels to increase your hoard for the metal content, keep them all.

I found:
1-1971 Republic of Kenya Fifty Cents
a reeded nickle silver colored coin, pretty neat

Obverse "First President of Kenya"
MZEE JOMO KENYATTA

Reverse 2 Lions, Shield and crossed spears with banner
"Harambee"

In 280 bucks of cwr from bank and a few singles at tellers stations at my penny dumpbanks I have found 2 franklins and 36 40% Kennedys and 2 proofs, both 1973S

Got a question for you guys... I found a bicentennial half today that is silver when you edge check it, but it is not an "S" mint. I don't know of any that were silver that were not "S" mint. When I ring test it, it doesn't quite sound like a 40%, but it doesn't sound like a clad half either. Could it have been silver plated? If so why and who would have done this?

Just a "tricky" clad. I've found lots of them and they are almost always '76.
No "S"... No silver.

Thanks Dumpster Diver, I was thinking it wasn't silver but it definately is on the outside. Someone at sometime must have plated it. I tested the edge and it is silver. I didn't want to scratch it until I was sure because it is in really good shape.
