I just had a great box which netted me about 30 pre-1940 wheats in addition to over 100 other wheat pennies. I noticed that a few of you have had similar experiences. Enjoy them while they are still around.

Anyway, my pre-1940s for the first half of March are:

(2) 1910s
(2) 1917s
(2) 1918s
(1) 1919
(1) 1924
(1) 1926
(2) 1928s
(1) 1929
(2) 1930s
(2) 1935s
(1) 1935D
(7) 1936s
(2) 1937s
(2) 1938s
(7) 1939s

Not for this thread, but best find was a 1960 small date. Saw it starting at me in the top of the Ryedale hopper!

Follow up to earlier mention on a buddy's find. Out of $100 worth of BWR (stored in a tied off bag in the vault of a small town bank), he found 500+ wheats & 2 Indians - 84 of the wheats would qualify for this thread. These were just ones he found while cracking open rolls and feeding the Ryedale (while watching the zinc box), I'm sure he found a lot more yesterday when he sorted through the copper catch. Bag yielded way over 50% copper.... I guess that's pretty much a penny dream bag! (Maybe I should go buy all their nickels...? lol)

In the past few weeks I've gotten a 1911, 1914, 1919, 1929S, 1935, and 1937. The 1911 is in pretty good shape for floating around for 99 years, I come across many 2000s cents in much worse condition.
