Just plucked a 1906 beauty from a box! I tagged 2 others(1890 and 1907) from the same run of boxes in late december too, so I guess all of the Indians haven't been removed from the Great Plains yet!

How nice of you to post this contest. My son's name is Duncan, but you should call him by his forum's name Bluejuice. I'll see if he will join the forum here. Again, greatly appreciated.

Found a 1908 tonight. The funniest part though was that it came from a shotgun roll that was just stuffed full without even having the ends bent over. 59 pennies in the one roll:)

1901 in the unsorted bin, full but very light liberty.

Good luck fellas.

Out of nine $50 bags last nite from two different banks,I found seven indian heads.
Nicest is a 1906. A smooth 1904. A nicked up 1901,02,and 05. Then a 1879 that is very worn and dirty.
Last one I will guess is 1892,very bad condition,beaten like a drum.Not a windfall,but still 7 indians.
Lots of wheats too! Very exciting nite.

Today, my 1st IH, ever. I've sorted maybe a total of $1,000 worth of pennies since I began. I was lucky to get it, since I'm not searching for wheats and IHs very hard.

When I made an $80 dump today the teller gave me back a coin and said it wasn't a penny. It is a 1901 Indian. Its is remarkable condition, but its bent just a little. That's why the bank's machine kicked it out.

What's the best way to make the coin flat again?

I'd say a hammer, but perhaps it's better not to damage the coin any more.

Selling Copper cents. $0 FV available at 1.4xFV. Also interested in trading for wheat pennies and other coins Please pm me for requests or inquiries.

I looked it up on Google and learned that hammering the bent coin between two lead bars is the way to do it without damaging the coin. I tried to find my old lead scuba weights today, but they are nowhere to be found.

Sorted thru $200 and thought the till had run dry, not a single pre-1940 in the zinc pile, then finally found a beat up 1902. Third indian in two weeks. Sorting more is paying off.

Hoard now and hold on!
