I went to the scrap yard today to get rid of an old shed I had torn down, and about 7 bags of coins. The palce was so busy I couldn't even get in! The were saying it was an hour wait to get across the scale! I'll go back during the week when it's not as bad.

At the scrap yard I use, there is usually a line for the steel, iron, and such. In the area that accepts copper and aluminum there is usually little or no line.

It is like that here all the time, and all walks of life.

Drunks, teenagers with no job, mothers with little children with the car trunk filled with scrap and tied to the roof.

It seems everybody is a scrapper these days.

People are doing whatever it takes to get by.

I normally go during the week as I can make it during lunch break, and it's much less busy. This was the worst I've ever seen it.

i to live about 25-30 miles from a choice of 5 yards. I usually go to the small town rural yards because of less wait. The bigger city lots are packed all day from open to close the smaller yards i can be in and out depending on how much seeperate things i have

I've never had that problem. I've had to wait a few minutes before, but never more than a half hour or so. I'd wait though, no matter what the waiting time. I live about 30 miles away, so it would be a big waste of gas for me if I went home empty handed.
