Posted - 11/01/2009 : 15:31:10 Ok, everyone keep this clean!
What is the largest amount of coin a bank has allowed you to dump at one time?
I realize some of you dump loose coins in lobby machine while others of us bring in loose coin bags or even rolls. |

Posted - 01/04/2010 : 23:43:38 Dumped $900.00 plus in zincolns in one trip. bagged without counting. The manager was a friend from works mother. She got in trouble for accepting the 18 bags and advised me I couldn't do it again. Sure beat counting and rolling them. Had a period where i was dumping $5,000. in halves on Monday and Tuesday so I could re up on Friday at my ordering bank. Did this for several weeks until I was cut off and limited to $1000. per day. Then my investor needed their capital back. Never saw such happy tellers when I stopped bringing in all those boxes of halves. |

Posted - 01/04/2010 : 20:54:18 My largest coin dump was $1100 and it was at a CU with an old slow counter. I was there about a half hour with 2 bag changes. |

Posted - 12/18/2009 : 22:15:08 Chris.. some of us have "really big" piggy banks!
Zyll.. congrats on stepping up to 3 figures and multiple bags. Hope it goes well.. I have an unlimited supply for you.
Last week's dump was $1700.. all quarters. Hey, I had to do something with them.. there were only 3 keepers. |

edit.. lately I have been dumping more often and try to limit to around $500 dimes and $200 in cents. |

Yes, it does take on a new connotation on second look.
Hopefully nobody thinks to include pictures!! |

The branch manager told me it was unacceptable and told me never to come back. Wouldnt even let me finish my dump I had in my hands. Another branch of the same bank asked me to stop using their machine after a $700 dump of all halves. Told me that I needed to have a "good" relationship with them in order to use their machines. Guess my $80 in my checking account wasnt enough. Now I just limit my dumps to 7-800 at a Credit Union to not rouse suspicion. Accidently went over 1k one week and they asked for my drivers license. Scaned it into their system, figure they are scopeing me out for a SAR. I will say, dumping is the worst part of this hobby.
Wow, you got cut off after $700 in halves? I have hit $700 in dimes and nickels many times. They check my drivers license, but have not cut me off. The only trouble I have ever had is one manager once told me that the machines were for piggy banks only, not large amounts of coin. I just said okay and ignored her. It was an out of town bank that I knew I would never go to again, so I did not care if they wanted to cut me off or not. |

Posted - 12/18/2009 : 15:08:50 My biggest dump was $170 in pennies. I didn't get so much as a peep out of that Coinstar Machine. Free counting with the Amazon E-certificate, and a silver quarter in the receptacle to boot. :) |

Posted - 12/18/2009 : 14:47:08 Most so far was $50 pennies. Tonight, my first $100 dump @ BofA. |

Posted - 12/18/2009 : 14:44:58 $65 in pennies and $40 in nickels is the most this small fry has done at once.
Don't have the funds to test their limit. |

Posted - 12/18/2009 : 12:01:23 I usually search around $150.00 per week, and usually dump somewhere around $110.00 weekly. It usually is deposited into my checking account. The bank has no problem with that. |

Posted - 11/03/2009 : 09:16:57 Yeah, you are flirting with disaster when you press the envelope. I dumped $3000 in pennies at one branch in a week and they cut me off.. can't imagine why. |

Posted - 11/03/2009 : 09:11:06 I gave 1600.00 to a branch in one week all pennies. ... I got cut off from there. I can't take 5.00 in to there machine now! |

Posted - 11/03/2009 : 06:08:11 Dropped off over $3k of zincolns in one day but was kind enough to share that between three branches. I like wheeling my loaded cart in and looking at those innocent teller's faces then finding the branch managers face to contrast and compare. |

Posted - 11/03/2009 : 00:25:54 Rolling is no problem.. if you have the machines. Of course since there are no coin counters at any of my banks other than a CoinStar at my CU, pretty much all my dumps have to be rolled.
Investin Cents.. I often only dump what I can carry in 2 hands also. But when I do it there is a carrying bag in each hand and 4 boxes of pennies in each bag. |

Posted - 11/02/2009 : 13:10:53 565.00 in pennies topped off the Bin and some of the next one as well. That was shortly after I found my first free coin counting machine in a lobby. Had plenty saved up and ready for them :)
