Posted - 09/19/2009 : 18:14:00 This guy in CA made a lunch bet in Paris with his brother that he could save 1'000,000 pennies, he won the bet about ten years ago but now he is moving to OR and is trying to get rid of the pennies......only problem is that no one wants them.
Three tons of pennies for $10,000.........go and get it. |

Posted - 09/20/2009 : 00:55:37 No worries, Ponce. It was very easy to find. I just searched for "Ronald England" and "1,000,000" and it popped right up. I can't imagine his pennies would last unclaimed for more than a week at this day and age, with this forum up and running. |

This forum should buy the pennies. If they are copper and we could get them for face, it would be a good deal. Sounds like they are rolled. Even with shipping, it would be worth it. Plus, it is newsworthy. We could get some free publicity. Perhaps one of our California members could orchestrate it. What does everyone think?
Sounds to me like Ponce is just setting us up to buy his dumped zincers. |
