America is addicted to plastic! Now it's even showing up in coin rolls and bags.
Plastic pennies sell for more then copper pennies, plus they melt easier.

Just curious, do you all separate your pre-82 plastic pennies from your post-82 plastic pennies? And on the 82s, do you do a bounce test or weigh them? Heehee. |

If a single plastic penny will fetch 3 and a half cents, I'm hoarding the 5 different 2-kilo bullion bars I have for sure. I would say that I could be setting on a goldmine, but I don't want to under value my stash. |

Went to pick up my $500 order from BOA, they said "come back tomorrow." So... the Credit Union is right around the corner (I never go there) and so I figured "what the heck, I'll try it." Picked up $74.50 or rolled pennies and made a deal with them to pick up once a month. As I was pouring them into a canvas sack I heard a weird clink, and sure enough, it was my first plastic penny. These suckers are scarcer than IHP's! |

Well it must be my lucky day because the same person that was turning them in last year is at it again. I had a total of 34 last year and now I just got 14 more in this weeks haul. When I got the first one it was a novelty and something different now that feeling has definately worn off. |
