To make a long story short, I first stumbled onto this forum via the link at www.coinflation.com.

How did you first learn of the realcent forum?

Hummm, I think someone needs to have a chat with CH about who he is "inviting" to the realcent forum

Never noticed this thread before... I found realcent by searching yahoo one night to see if anyone else was storing copper wire in anticipation of rising prices and also a scrap metal forum. I then found this site, and noticed the intellegence of what was being said here. So, I decided to join, and soon after that I was sorting pennies and halves on a weekly basis (Something I never would have thought about before coming here). I have learned alot from all members here, and sincerely thank everyone for their inputs. This place is the best!

I was in Kitco's silver forum reading posts. Someone encouraged someone else that Realcent was a lively group to join. There was a link to the Realcent site in the post, I clicked it. I became a Realcent member soon thereafter.

I had noticed the price of copper climbing and was trying to find out how many copper pennies were in a pound without having to weigh them myself.
smartinson Posted - 04/28/2009 : 21:57:16
I was looking for the value of wheat cents, silver dimes and quarters. Google lead me here and so glad it did!
slickeast Posted - 04/28/2009 : 21:53:23
I wanted to buy some silver bullion to put away for my daughter. when I was on E-bay looking at bullion I saw copper pennies. then I was looking at penny hoarding on the internet. after hours of being all over the internet I kept coming back to this site. read a bunch of posts. thought some of the guys had witty posts. so I joined. somewhere during that searching I ran across the Ryedale...had to get one....now I have 2.

that was late last year. now the safe is too small for the silver stash and there are buckets of pennies everywhere.....not to mention the strays that seem to be everywhere.

this is the only forum that I am on. I joined another when this was down for 3 days but I never go to it.

News article on copper > Google copper value > Coinflation > Ryedale > RealCent > excessive brain activity > bank visits > dirty fingers > depletion of home plastic container stash > built home-brew sorter > now hoarding copper, buying PMs > ?? .....

... Hi. My name is JD, and I sort pennies.

Coinflation.com showed me the light.
It looks like this humble forum has moved up to the top position on the related links.

I was looking to see what real values of silver was. Silver coins from US, Canada, Mexico and other places. Found Coinflation and from there Real Cent. Since then I have looked at a few sites but time for visiting the web like this is rare. This is the site I enjoy and keep coming back to. Been here since early last year. My wife thinks I am nuts.

Hi. I'm a new member but have been reading the site for awhile. I think I found it through coinflation.

I search coins for reason quite different from most of you. I really enjoy searching rolls of coins for anything interesting I can find. I have learned a lot from reading the post on this forum and thanks to all of you for the helpful info I have gathered here.

COINFLATION.COM one stop shop for info!

I believe the actual discovery came by way of the coinflation site. It all started back in March 2008 when that ridiculous "stimulus check" came through. It really bothered me that we were giving out "free" money at a time when we have a several trillion dollar deficit. This led to research on inflation, gold, then on to silver and copper.
